Prawle Point is the southern most tip of Devon. Literally, when in Devon, you couldn't go any further south. It is a popular migrating point for birds, home of the rare cirl bunting and perfect for bird watching. It is an AONB and a SSSI due to its rare flora and fauna and is a special place for observing nature.

It's about a mile from the nearest village, East Prawle and about a 35 minute drive to the town of Kingsbridge. You can travel to Salcombe by ferry boat from East Portlemouth which is about a 10 minute drive. Or there is a good 2 hour walk to Salcombe along the rugged coastal path (with several sandy coves and beaches along the way). That is if you turn right from the gate at the end of the garden. If you turn left and walk for about an hour and a half along a more gentle coastline, you will arrive at a lovely sandy beach, Lannacombe. A little further on is Start Point Lighthouse. Either route provides wonderful views of land and sea.
